From Summer to Fall: Transitioning to Fall Home Decor

Switching out decor from summer to fall doesn’t have to be difficult or complicated! I love to slowly switch out pieces by keeping basics where they are and changing up the color and texture in a space.

Today I am going to share a space in my living area that I am updating for the new season!

Here is where I started:

As you can see for summer I love lots of greenery in different shades and a hint of florals in the wreath to the right.

In order to go from summer to fall I like to keep the base idea of my decor but change the feel for the season with simple swaps. First, I switched out some of the light greenery for some warmth and texture of this fall foliage.

Then I added some small velvet mushrooms into the terrarium, keeping some of the deeper green fern in as a base.

I finished off the space with a large deep orange pumpkin, burnt orange and green wreath and a deep colored fern.

Transitioning your home from summer to fall is all about embracing the change of the seasons and the comfort that comes with it! Gradually incorporating the colors and textures of the new season, you can create a space that feels appropriate for the season and warm and welcoming!

You can find all these items in all three of our markets: Artisan Mill Co (Lititz), Prussian Street Arcade (Manhiem), and The Mint Leaf (Lessport).

If you pick up any fall items for your home, we would love to see them in your home. Snap a photo and tag us on Instagram @mounthopemarket
