5 Ways to transition your holiday décor for the winter

Keep your Holiday decor out all winter without it feeling like Christmas every day.

When the holidays are over and it’s time to take down the beautiful decor, it can leave your home feeling a little, well, empty!

Here are 5 tips for transitioning your holiday decor for winter without leaving your home feeling bare.

  1. Remove anything with traditional holiday colors, but leave all the neutrals. Sure it may feel good to put away the red and the green, but those whites, golds, silvers and wood-colored hues can stay!

  2. Don’t put away ALL the green. I know I just said to put away those holiday colors, but your faux greenery may be something you want to keep! Use it in a unique way or move it around to a new space in your home to give it a fresh look.

  3. Consider keeping those warm, twinkle lights. As the nights get colder, those lights can give your home a very cozy glow this winter.

  4. Add some winter white. This is a great way to let the INSIDE reflect what’s happening outside. While it may be a snowy wonderland outdoors, you can echo that with your decor inside.

  5. Focus on comfort for these blustery, winter months. Add some comfy blankets and cute throw pillows to the mix that will make staying home the goal!

Remember, your home can still have a ‘Winter Wonderland’ feel, even after the holidays have come and gone. Get creative with your holiday decor and create that cozy, decorated home of your dreams.
